The recovery process will typically include annoying phone calls and more letters. Every recovery company has different ways of going about the matter. And then lastly, the recovery agency may begin litigation options. When this occurs, the company that is delinquent will will be notified that litigation efforts have begun. In most cases if the judge rules in favor of the complainant, the delinquent company will also be required to pay for court costs.

Often times the delinquent company will quickly resolve the issue right before it goes to court, if they are able. If the case ends up in court, most likely the reason is because the company simply can not. In rare cases, the company could be disputing the amount. However, in cases such as that, they will pay the amount, then sue, so that their credit isn't ruined.
